The National Football League is quickly moving right along. There are 9 teams that have yet to lose, and 9 teams that have yet to win a game.
As soon as the Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions ended in Week 2, I started looking ahead to NFL Week 3 of the season. NFL Week 3 is heavy with great betting matchups. Let’s take a look at them.

Unbeaten Teams Face Challenges
Then, they have to beat a Jaguars team that is better than previous seasons. Leonard Fournette is giving the Jaguars a lift at the running back position. The Ravens face a stiff challenge, but Flacco and company tackle it and win the game. Take Baltimore -3.5.
A pair of unbeaten teams mix it up in Detroit on Sunday afternoon. The Atlanta Falcons are on the road and the favorite over the Lions. The Falcons have Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, while the Lions of Matthew Stafford and Golden Tate.
It’s hard to imagine a scenario where the Detroit Lions have wins over the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons in the first three games. That’s fine, because Atlanta is poised to come to town and beat the Lions. Look for too much Falcons offense. Take Atlanta -3 over Detroit.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0, and the Los Angeles Chargers are 0-2, but this is going to be quite the challenge for the Chargers. Los Angeles has been competitive twice, and know the Chiefs real well. The spread is just a field goal favorite towards the Chiefs.
Actually, look for Los Angeles to play desperate athome. The Chargers are going to ruin the Chiefs goal of going 16-0. Take Los Angeles +3 over Kansas City on Sunday.
While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are unbeaten, they have just one win on the season. The Buccaneers opening game was postponed due to Hurricane Irma. The Buccaneers were not challenged in their season opening win over the Chicago Bears. Now, they will be challenged on the road at Minnesota.
The big difference in this game is – will Sam Bradford play for Minnesota or not? That makes a huge difference game, and oddsmakers are holding off. The Buccaneers are talented, so taking them straight up regardless of the line is not out of the question.
Winless Teams Look to Get off the Hook
The first winless team in action is the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers get a shot at the Los Angeles Rams at home on Thursday Night Football. This is a great betting match-up, because the line is too close.
Sure, it’s hard to bet on a Rams team that was swept by the 49ers a season ago. But, this Rams team has a better feel to it. Look for Todd Gurley to put together as solid night and the Rams keep San Francisco winless.
Someone has to win when the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts get together at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts were whacked in the opener against the Rams, but looked better at home against Arizona. Look for a mix in between in this game, and a tight game.
Cleveland just can’t seem to find the proper recipe to get over the hook and win a game. The home team makes the big difference here – which is why Indianapolis +1 seems to be a pretty solid bet on Sunday.
The New York Giants are 0-2 to start the season. Now, the Giants have to go on the road and take on an Eagles team that is playing their home opener. The offense for the Giants has been dreadful at best.

Do not look for a ton of change from New York, as their offensive line cannot block, and the Eagles are going to get after Eli Manning. The Giants move to 0-3, as the Eagles cover the -6 spread, and also win the game.
The Cincinnati Bengals are also winless, and they are going to stay winless. The Bengals have no business going to Lambeau Field and beating the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers are banged up, but Aaron Rodgers can pull a guy or two out of the bleachers and come away with a win in this game. The Packers are coming off a loss, and are going to roll over the Bengals in this affair on Sunday. Take Green Bay -8.
