Premier League Matchday 11 Preview and Tips

We already know that the Friday night game in the Premier League has been postponed, which means that across Saturday and Sunday (and into Monday) we have a selection of nine matches to enjoy in the Premier League weekend, which features a key North London derby, as well as two old rivals renewing hostilities after many years.

The extraordinary circumstances around this 2020/21 Premier League season have seen this become one of the closest title races in many years with just six points separating Tottenham and Liverpool on 21 points in the top two spots of the table, to Aston Villa and Manchester City in 10th and 11th places in the table (and both those teams also have a game in hand on the top two). This makes this weekend’s selection of games on Matchday 11 all the more important as teams scramble for points.

If you would like to have a bet on the outcome of some of the big games across the Premier League weekend and you need a reliable and expansive betting service to facilitate this, then a great place to start as a newcomer to online betting is the latest bet365 Sport Welcome Bonus Offer. As a new customer, you can access up to £100 in bet credits once you start betting on the site. Not only that, but you also gain access to the wide range of sports betting markets, In Play betting and even Virtual Sports betting available on the site.

However, if you live in a part of the world where bet365 is not available, you may need an alternative. In Pennsylvania in the United States for example, one such alternative option is the BetRivers Sportsbook and Casino site, which offers a good value deal for new customers and extensive betting, all of which you can access through the latest BetRivers Promo Code.

The same site also operates in Indiana too, but here you can access a different offer using the latest BetRivers Affiliate CodeHOOSIERBONUS” when you sign up and deposit. This will give you access to a special bonus deal available only to natives of the Hoosier State.

Lastly, in other US states that permit sports betting, another option is the latest DraftKings Online Sportsbook service, which offers a great starter deal, a fine selection of bets from sports events all over the world every week plus links with the sites famous fantasy sports service.

Let us now take a look at the games coming up this weekend in the Premier League, remembering that the Aston Villa v Newcastle game on Friday night has now been postponed and will now be played at a later date.

Kick off times are shown in brackets and all odds shown below were correct with bet365 Sport as of 8.05am UK Time on Wednesday 2nd December 2020.

Premier League Matchday 11

Saturday 5th December

Burnley v Everton (12.30pm)

Both these teams have just one win in their last five and Burnley, despite being 19th in the table, actually have a better record over those games than 8th placed Everton. That drop off in form is a big worry for Carlo Ancelotti and he will want a response from his team here. Burnley had their annual thrashing from Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend, but they will be seeking a response here and Sean Dyche usually gets that from his men. Expect this one to be a close battle and I can see the points being shared.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Burnley 1-1 Everton – 3/2
  • Other Bet Tip – Richarlison (Everton) to score anytime – 7/4

Manchester City v Fulham (3.00pm)

Both these teams had great results last weekend, City earning a 5-0 win over Burnley, while Fulham upset the odds and form book by registering a superb 2-1 win away to high-flying Leicester City. However, regardless of that win, I think Scott Parker’s side are going to be up against it here against a Manchester Citt side that seem to be clicking into form and this could be a very long afternoon for the London team’s fans.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Manchester City 4-0 Fulham – 8/1
  • Other Bet Tip – Kevin de Bruyne (Man City) to score anytime – Evens

West Ham v Manchester United (5.30pm)

West Ham find themselves in 5th place in the Premier League after a superb start to the season and they now face a real test against a Manchester United side that have won their last three games in this competition. The Hammers have also won their last three games and they will be up for this game against manager David Moyes former club. However, with Cavani in attack, United have that extra cutting edge and I think that could well be the difference between the two teams.

  • My Correct Score Tip – West Ham 1-2 Manchester United – 17/2
  • Other Bet Tip – Manchester United to win – Evens

Chelsea v Leeds United (8.00pm)

These two teams once had a fierce rivalry in the 1970s that regularly produced some bruising encounters. This will be the first time they have met in the Premier League though since 2004 and it is Chelsea that come into the game in the most consstent form and lying third in the table. Leeds win at Everton moved them up to 12th in the table and they will certainly make life difficult for the home side here, but I think Chelsea have too much quality in attack in particular and will grab the points here.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Chelsea 3-1 Leeds United -12/1
  • Other Bet Tip – Tammy Abraham (Chelsea) to score anytime – Evens

Sunday 6th December

West Brom v Crystal Palace (12.00pm)

The Baggies landed their first win of the campaign against Sheffield United last weekend, but I think they will struggle here against a talented but erratic Crystal Palace side. You never quite know what you are going to get with Roy Hodgson’s team, but this is the kind of game where their talented players can make all the difference. I can’t see this being a game with many goals, but I do feel Palace will score at least one to claim the victory.

  • My Correct Score Tip – West Brom 0-1 Crystal Palace – 15/2
  • Other Bet Tip – Crystal Palace to win and both teams to score – no – 10/3

Sheffield United v Leicester City (2.15pm)

It has been a miserable start to the season for Sheffield United with just one point from their first ten games. A lack of goals, just four in those games, has been their big issue and I can’t see their fortunes changing for the better here, even against a Leicester side that have lost their last two in this competition. The Foxes are still fourth in the table but those dropped points have hurt them and I am backing them to get back to winning ways here.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Sheff Utd 0-2 Leicester City – 9/1
  • Other Bet Tip – James Maddison (Leicester) to score anytime – 12/5

Tottenham v Arsenal (4.30pm)

The North London derby is always one of the biggest games of the season and this time, both teams need the points for very different reasons. Spurs to hold onto top spot in the table and Arsenal to stop an alarming slump in form which has seen them drop to 14th and record just one win in their last five games. These games have traditionally been close but at the moment, Spurs are clearly the form team and it is hard to see Arsenal being able to pick up something from this game.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Tottenham 3-1 Arsenal – 16/1
  • Other Bet Tip – Heung-Min Son (Tottenham) to score anytime – 7/4

Liverpool v Wolves (7.15pm)

Liverpool come into this game after a good win in the Champions League in midweek, and while their injury woes have not improved any they can still put out a very strong team for this game. Wolves have been hit by a horrible injury to main striker Raul Jiminez ruling him out for some time and I think their style will give Liverpool a few problems on the counter attack. However the Reds attack is just as potent and with ex-Wolves man Diego Jota in fine form, I am backing the Reds to continue their long unbeaten home streak here.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Liverpool 2-1 Wolves – 8/1
  • Other Bet Tip – Diego Jota (Liverpool) to score anytime – 13/10

Monday 7th December

Brighton v Southampton (8.00pm)

A south coast derby clash will round off the weekend’s fixtures on Monday night. Both teams come into this with contrasting results last week, Brighton delighted with their last gasp draw with Champions Liverpool, while Southampton threw away a 2-0 lead in the second half to lose 3-2 at home to Manchester United. Both teams have lost just one of their last five games and I think this is going to be a very close call. Form says Southampton should probably just edge this, but then again, so should Liverpool last weekend, so I am going to go for another draw here.

  • My Correct Score Tip – Brighton 1-1 Southampton – 6/1
  • Other Bet Tip – Theo Walcott (Southampton) to score anytime – 11/4

*Aston Villa v Newcastle will be rescheduled for a date later in the season.
