There are six points up for grabs this week in the Premier League with the action getting underway tonight with six matches, followed by four more on Wednesday night as Matchday 24 is completed under the midweek floodlights.
This is then followed by Matchday 25 which takes place at the usual time over the weekend, stretching from Saturday lunchtime’s game between Tottenham and Newcastle, through to Monday night’s clash from the London Stadium where West Ham host Liverpool in what should be an interesting clash between the two teams.

Matchday 24
Kick off 7.45 unless stated.
Tuesday 29th January
Arsenal v Cardiff City
Tip – Arsenal to win (2/9) – Cardiff City have had other issues on their minds in the past week or so and it is hard to see how they can get anything from this game, which was tough enough as it is. Arsenal are not too consistent at the moment, but they should grab the win here.
Fulham v Brighton
Tip – Draw (23/10) – Fulham need to start picking up wins if they are to stay in the Premier League but I can’t see them doing that against a Brighton side whose away form is starting to improve slowly. I can see both teams scoring but I feel a draw, likely 1-1, is the most likely result.
Huddersfield Town v Everton
Tip – Draw (23/10) – With a new manager at the helm, Huddersfield will want a morale boosting performance and some points and soon. Everton are not in great form at the moment but I still feel that the Toffee’s will get a point from the game due to Huddersfield’s woeful scoring record.
Wolves v West Ham
Tip – Wolves to Win (11/10) – Wolves snatched victory right at the death in the reverse fixture earlier this season but I don’t think they will have to wait so late in this one as I think this West Ham team, while talented, doesn’t have the solid backbone to pick up big results on the road.
Manchester United v Burnley (8.00)
Tip – Man Utd to win (2/7) – There’s no denying the galvanising effect appointing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager has had on Manchester United and even Burnley being in good form I don’t think will stop United claiming another big victory here.
Newcastle United v Manchester City (8.00)
Tip – Man City to win (2/11) – Newcastle pushed City hard at the Etihad earlier in the season but I think with the issues over Rafa Benitez’s future and the form City are in at the moment, this should be a comfortable evening for City fans.
Wednesday 30th January
Bournemouth v Chelsea
Tip – Chelsea to win (4/6) – Bournemouth ended a poor run of form with a win over West Ham recently, but their record against Chelsea is poor and I think the visitors will be the team celebrating three points come the end of the game.
Southampton v Crystal Palace
Tip – Draw (12/5) – Two sides that have seen improved form of late and neither I feel will want that form to ebb away. Palace look very dangerous on the road in particular but Southampton are looking strong at home, hence I think a draw is a prime pick.
Liverpool v Leicester City (8.00)
Tip – Liverpool to win (2/9) – Liverpool fans wil lwant a more straightforward game than the win over Palace of late but Leicester are a tricky side and the Reds will have to be at their best to get a result. Having said that, they should be having had plenty of time to prepare for this game.
Tottenham v Watford (8.00)
Tip – Draw (3/1) – Watford are something of a bogey team for Spurs, having beaten them earlier this season and without Kane and Alli, and Son being away, Spurs have struggled. Watford are just the team to capitalise on that and while I can’t see them sneaking a win, they may just scrape a draw.
Matchday 25
Kick off 3pm unless stated
Saturday 2nd February
Tottenham v Newcastle United (12.30)
Tip – Tottenham to win (2/5) – Even without the injured Dele Alli and Harry Kane, Spurs should have enough to get the job done here, especially with Son set to return from the Asian Cup. Newcastle struggle for goals and if Spurs can grab just the one, then that should be enough to grab the win.
Brighton v Watford
Tip – Brighton to win (13/8) – Watford are a funny team, they can be superb against some teams, but poor against others you’d expect them to do well against. Brighton fit into that mould and given their strong home form, I am expecting the Seagulls to land a good win in this one.
Burnley v Southampton
Tip – Draw (9/4) – Both these teams have seen their form improve in recent times, with both climbing out of the drop zone. Neither manager will want to lose ground here and given both team’s form, I don’t think either manager would mind picking up a point from this game.
Chelsea v Huddersfield Town
Tip – Chelsea to win (1/6) – Seriously, given Huddersfield’s woeful goalscoring record and with Chelsea being at home, if the home side do not win this game very comfortably, by at least a couple of goals, then that would be a shock in itself.
Crystal Palace v Fulham
Tip – Crystal Palace to win (10/11) – As much as I like Claudio Ranieri, I think Fulham are going to be relegated on the back of their defensive problems and with Palace looking to be much more clinical in front of goal nowadays, I back the home team to land a comfortable win.
Everton v Wolves
Tip – Draw (9/4) – Both these teams have been blowing a little hot and cold of late, especially Everton in front of their home fans. Wolves have proven tricky opponents for many teams in the Premier League this season and I fancy the visitors to claim a point from this trip north.
Cardiff City v Bournemouth (5.30)
Tip – Draw (12/5) – It’s been a tough week for Cardiff with the Emiliano Sala affair and their minds cannot have been fully focused on this game. Bournemouth are not in great form and I can’t see the Cherries winning this game but I feel they have enough to perhaps secure a point
Sunday 3rd February
Leicester City v Man Utd (2.05)
Tip – Man Utd to win (5/6) – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned United’s season on its head with eight successive wins since taking over as manager. Leicester is a tough place to go to get a win as Man City proved, but I think United are so confident they can take three more points.
Manchester City v Arsenal (4.30)
Tip – Man City to win (1/4) – It’s strange to see such short odds in a game between two top six sides, but that is how good City have been this season. Arsenal have some top quality players but they have been found out on the road against the top teams and I feel that will likely happen again here.
Monday 4th February
West Ham v Liverpool (8pm)
Tip – Liverpool to win (4/11) – The Red’s battled to a massive win over Crystal Palace last time out and West Ham won’t be an easy task either, but the Hammers were well outclassed at Anfield and they do struggle against the very best teams.
