It may appear that it is a quiet week on the sports front after the massive number of events that take place over the Christmas and New Year period, but in truth, there’s still plenty of great sporting events to bet on and that begins right now with a number of key FA Cup Third Round Replays that are due to be played both Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th January.
Of course, you need a solid choice of bookmaker who always comes up with the goods when it comes to soccer betting and at the moment, there’s just no better place to bet than with Coral, as they offer the perfect combination of fantastic markets, great value odds, a wide choice of games and superb In-Play betting too.
So with that in mind, let’s take a look ahead at what are some of the best football betsand offers available to you this week.
Coral New Customer Offer – FA Cup Replay Special
Tonight, Coral are offering a special limited-time New Customer Offer. Sign up with Coral Sport and make a deposit into your account of just £5 or more. When you do, check out your My Markets section and then select the “Leicester to Win at 28/1” betting option.
Select your stake as £1 and place the bet and if Leicester win the game, you will be paid out at special enhanced odds of 28/1 (£28 return plus your £1 stake back).
However, if their opponents Fleetwood Town manage to force the game into extra time, or even force an FA Cup upset, then don’t worry as Coral will then offer you a free £5 bet as a consolation prize.
It is also worth noting that it is likely that Coral will be offering a very similar deal to this on Wednesday night’s live televised replay (Chelsea v Norwich City) but they may not announce the full details of any offer until 24-hours or so before the game. Which is why these offers are always only available for a short amount of time.
Tuesday 16th January – FA Cup Third Round Replays (7.45pm Kick Off unless stated)
West Ham v Shrewsbury
Sheffield Wednesday v Carlisle United
Leicester City v Fleetwood Town
Mansfield Town v Cardiff City
Reading v Stevenage Borough (8pm)
Five games take place on Tuesday evening in the FA Cup as plenty of teams seek to earn a fourth round spot and a chance to progress in the world’s oldest cup competition.
Looking at this selection of games, I think there is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an accumulator bet on this selection of games and it just so happens that this would also qualify for Coral’s 4+ Acca Boost bonus (provided I make my selections from the Match Result, Both Teams to Score or To Win and Both Teams to Score markets).
That acca boost bonus means that if this bet wins then I will receive a free bet of 10% of the value of my total profit on the bet, up to a maximum of £100, completely free.
Here’s my selections for tonight’s games all from the Match Result market:
West Ham v Shrewsbury – Home Win
Sheffield Wednesday v Carlisle United – Home Win
Leicester City v Fleetwood Town – Home Win
Mansfield Town v Cardiff City – Draw
Reading v Stevenage Borough (8pm) – Home Win
This accumulator returns at odds of 16.42/1, which means a £10 wager would return £164.20, plus a free bet to the value of £16.42 if the accumulator comes in.
Wednesday 17th January – FA Cup Third Round Replays (7.45 Kick Off)
Wigan Athletic v Bournemouth
Swansea City v Wolves
Chelsea v Norwich City
There’s fewer games to pick from on Wednesday evening but even so, I still think that given the matches involved, my best option here is to place a little treble bet with Coral. Here’s what I’ll be backing on this evening of FA Cup Action:
Wigan Athletic v Bournemouth – Draw
Swansea City v Wolves – Draw
Chelsea v Norwich City – Home Win
With Coral, you can back this treble at odds of 13.6/1, which means a £10 stake would return £136 if you are successful.
As a side bet on the Chelsea v Norwich City game, I would also look at backing Chelsea to win to nil (19/20) and Willian to score at any time (17/10) in the game. A £10 bet on each of these markets bet singly, would return potential winnings of £46.50
Saturday 20th January – Premier League (3pm Kick Off unless stated)
Brighton v Chelsea (12.30)
Arsenal v Crystal Palace
Stoke City v Huddersfield Town
Leicester City v Watford
West Ham v Bournemouth
Burnley v Manchester United
Everton v West Brom
Manchester City v Newcastle United (5.30)
There’s a large number of games on Saturday for once with just two games taking place on Sunday and Monday to round off the Premier League weekend. As such, another accumulator is my choice of bet here that will once again take advantage of Coral’s 4+ Acca Boost promotion.
My chosen accumulator for Saturday’s games in the Premier League are:
Brighton v Chelsea – Away Win
Arsenal v Crystal Palace – Home Win
Leicester v Watford – Home Win
West Ham v Bournemouth – Home Win
Burnley v Manchester United – Away Win
This fivefold bet would return at odds of 14.45/1 meaning a £10 stake would return £144.50, plus you would also receive a free £14.45 bet from Coral as part of the Acca Bonus offer.
Sunday 21st January – Premier League
Southampton v Tottenham (4pm)
Sunday afternoon’s game pits an out of sorts Southampton who are struggling for any sort of form against a Tottenham side that is bang in form and has the Premier League’s most dangerous striker Harry Kane absolutely on fire in front of goal at the moment.
St Mary’s is never an easy place to go for any team, but such is Southampton’s wavering form that Saints fans must be dreading how they will deal with the threat of Kane, Alli and Eriksen in particular, while Spurs fans will be confident of making it five wins in their last six with victory here.
I really fancy Harry Kane to be amongst the thick of the action here and I’m backing him to score 2 or more goals in this one with Coral which is a 16/5 shot.
Monday 22nd January – Premier League
Swansea City v Liverpool (8pm)
After their stunning victory over Manchester City in what was the game of the season so far, Liverpool now face a trip to the bottom club in the Premier League and wouldn’t it be just like Jurgen Klopp’s men to follow up that magnificent win over Man City, with a plum duff dire performance away at the Swans?
Swansea have a new manager in Carlos Carvajal who has already seen them win away at Watford, but Liverpool at home are a tough prospect and I can’t see the Swans being too expansive here. Especially when Liverpool have looked so awful at defending counter attacks at times this season.
I think this game swings on whetehr Virgil Van Dijk plays. If he does, I see Liverpool winning easily, if not then Swansea could perhaps nick a point here. However with Van Dijk missing the City game I think he’ll return here and as such I’m backing Liverpool to win and both teams to score which is a 21/10 shot with Coral.
