I expect Mendy to stay in the team despite some shaky performances, while Jesus will continue to deputise for Aguero and Rodri could deputise in defence for Fernandinho opening a spot for Bernardo Silva in midfield.

Injuries/Suspensions – Liverpool could have a fully fit squad to pick from for this game although there are doubts over the fitness of James Milner and Joel Matip, both of whom picked up knocks in the derby fixture, but who both could be fit to at least make the bench for this game.

Even with the league title won, I don’t expect Jurgen Klopp to rest too many players for this particular game and I think the Reds, with over a week to prepare, will be at full strength for this game. The last thing Klopp will want will be to be declared Champions, play a weakened team and then be spanked by their closest rivals. As such, I can see him naming a very strong team and perhaps making changes as the game wears on, notably I midfield with the likes of Oxlade Chamberlain to make an impression from the bench.

Full Time Result
This is a tough one to call. I feel City have the greater motivation to win this game, but I 
also feel that there are real signs that they are struggling with the physical demands of five games in the space of a fortnight after a three month layoff. Liverpool looked fitter in their game against Palace and looked to be back to their very best after a below par display at Goodison. As such, this is a game I can see City taking the lead in but where I can see Liverpool staging a second half comeback to snatch a draw. – Prediction – Draw – 29/10.
Correct Score
As we have intimated above, we think this game is most likely to end in a draw, which means that it is a question of deciding how the goals will be divided up. Both teams score plenty, but I feel the Reds defence is stronger than Citys and as such, the most likely outcome is a 1-1 draw. Prediction – 1-1 at 15/2.
Anytime Goalscorer
Usually, when City play Liverpool, Leroy Sane is always my pick to score for them as he has a great record against the Reds, but he is unlikely to play given he is set to move to Bayern Munich, so I think a more intriguing pick is Sadio Mane for Liverpool who always tends to play well in the big games and who came so close to scoring last season in this fixture. Prediction – Sadio Mane to score anytime – 8/5.
