BET ON THE NCAA TOURNAMENT AT PADDY POWER
Michigan State Spartans 5/1
Tom Izzo and his Spartans have been winning basketball games They may not look pretty, but the Big Ten Champions are getting the job done. Michigan State can really score, and their defense is fantastic once again. Do not try to challenge the Spartans to a rebounding contest, or you will lose. The Spartans were 4/1 odds to win the NCAA title, and heading into the tournament, they are listed at 5/1 odds.
Villanova Wildcats 11/2
Jay Wright and his Villanova Wildcats have had another fantastic season. Jalen Brunson has been an elite scorer, and the Big East has been a nice challenge for the Wildcats. Now, they are looking to take down the national title for the second time in three seasons. Look for the Wildcats to be a tough team to beat when the tournament starts. The Wildcats are 11/2 odds to win the national title after starting the season 6/1.
Duke Blue Devils
The Duke Blue Devils have incredible young talent. Marvin Bagley III should be ready to rock when the Big Dance starts, and he and his teammates are one of the favorites to take the crown. Duke has been heating up as the ACC regular season comes to an end. There would be no surprise if the Blue Devils were in the NCAA Final Four. Duke is listed at 6/1 right now, and were 9/2 to start the season.
Purdue Boilermakers
One of the biggest movers up in the odds to win the NCAA Tournament are Matt Painter and his Boilermakers. Purdue started the season at 40/1, and are now listed at 7/1 odds. The Boilermakers can pound the basketball inside, do a nice job of shooting the outside shot, and are solid on the defensive end. The Boilermakers and Michigan State are the two Big Ten teams with good odds to take it down.
Virginia Cavaliers
Another of the big odds movers – Tony Bennett and his Cavaliers. After taking the ACC regular season crown, the Cavaliers are ready to take that elite defense to the Big Dance. The offense has been questionable for VIrginia, but if they score enough – they are going to be tough to beat. The Cavaliers are 7/1 odds to win the title, after they were 50/1 back on January 1st of 2018.
Arizona Wildcats
Sean Miller and his Arizona Wildcats have some personnel issues as March Madness approaches. It will depend who is on the court for Arizona as the tournament gets started. The Wildcats started the season listed 9/1, and have actually dropped in odds. Now, the Arizona Wildcats are listed at 16/1 odds to win it all.
Kansas Jayhawks
The Jayhawks are approaching their 15th straight conference title. It has not been easy for Bill Self and his Jayhawks. Kansas is finally getting some big time production from their post men, and their outside shooting is still deadly. The Jayhawks have seen some short postseason runs the last couple seasons, and Coach Self is looking to solve that riddle this season. Kansas is listed at 16/1 odds.
Kentucky Wildcats
Another blue blood program that continues to get better. John Calipari’s teams are always ready for the postseason. This is a young squad that has hit their stride a little over the last couple weeks. The Wildcats are athletic, and can shoot the basketball. It will be an interesting tournament run for the Wildcats, who come into the tournament listed at 20/1 odds.
West Virginia Mountaineers
The Wildcats had two or three really big wins slip out of their fingers late in the season. The Mountaineers now will need to figure out a way to keep those leads in the Big Dance. This is a very athletic team that can play great pressure defense. Will that pressure defense style of basketball get the job done in the Big Dance for Coach Huggins? West Virginia is 25/1 odds to take it down.
