Who has made a Strong Start in the NFL This Season?

We have had the first three weeks of the NFL season so far and it has been an intriguing three weeks, rounded off by the final game of Week Three action which saw the two teams, regarded by many as the best in the NFL, face off in Baltimore, with the Ravens succumbing to a fine performance by the current Superbowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, the Chiefs are not the only team to have a 3-0 record after the first weeks of the season and there are a number of other teams, some familiar names, some a surprise, who have also achieved this feat and who look set to go on and push hard for the playoffs at the end of the season.

It has certainly been an exciting start to the season and after those first three weeks, the great news for punters is that there is still plenty of the season left to go, with the regular season running through until the end of December and then the playoffs starting in January leading to the Superbowl. As such, if you fancy a flutter on the NFL and want to sign up with a site that offers great betting on it in the UK, then check out the current bet365 New Player Bonus offer available.

Similarly, in Indiana, you can join the BetRivers Sportsbook and Casino in that state but here you need to use the latest BetRivers Affiliate Code “HOOSIERBONUS” to claim a special deal that is not available as standard to customers.

Finally, if you live in states like Nevada and New Jersey where sports betting is legal then DraftKings Online Sportsbook is another great option offering both a wide selection of NFL betting as well as fantasy sports too.

Let’s take a look now at some of the teams that have begun the season so brightly and have the coveted 3-0-0 record after their trio of games thus far.

NFL 3-0-0 Teams 2020 Season

AFC East – Buffalo Bills

Could the Bills end New England’s stranglehold on the AFC East? The division has been the personal property of the Patriots over the years but after a 3-0 start, Josh Allen’s team has surprised a few experts with their tenacity. A big win over the Rams, despite giving up 28 unanswered points, was huge for this young team but they face a very tricky run of games over the next few weeks that will ultimately decide their season.

AFC North – Pittsburgh Steelers

Baltimore’s defeat to Kansas City earlier this week means that the Steelers are the team at the top of the AFC North with a 100% record from their three games. They face a tough test against the Titans this week but if they can win that then they could well be set to make a real run in this division, however the two games with Baltimore will likely decide which of these two AFC North rivals comes out on top.

AFC West – Kansas City Chiefs

This past week the Chiefs went to Baltimore to take on a Ravens team that many expect to be their main rival in the AFC and came away with a statement 34-20 win. It was a superb performance by the current Superbowl champions who do look a class apart from the rest. With a favourable schedule, is it possible that the Chiefs could go through the entire regular season unbeaten and clinch a 16-0 record?

AFC South – Tennessee Titans

The Titans have squeaked three very close wins in their opening three games, and they could easily have lost all three. However, they were resilient enough to claw back wins in all three games late on and that could well stand them in great stead over the course of the season. They face a big couple of weeks though with games against the Steelers and Bills over the next fortnight which will give us a much clearer idea of just how good this Titans team is, or is not.

NFC West – Seattle Seahawks

For me the NFC West is the division that is loaded with four teams with genuine playoff aspirations and I would not be too surprised if both the NFC wildcard spots are taken by teams in this division. Of the four teams in the West, the Seahawks have been the standout team with wins over the Falcons, Patriots and Cowboys in the opening three weeks and aside from the Chiefs, they have been the standout team in the NFL for me so far this campaign.

NFC North – Green Bay Packers

With Aaron Rodgers and his offense racking up 122 points across their three wins over the Vikings, Lions and Saints over the last few weeks, the Cheeseheads are on the up once again. They made the playoffs last season only to lose out to the 49ers in the Conference Championship game and I think they could well be there or thereabouts once again this season. They face the 49ers once again on the 6th November.

NFC North – Chicago Bears

One of two teams in the NFC North with a perfect record, the Bears have beaten the Lions, Giants and Falcons to hold joint top spot in the NFC North below the Packers in terms of points difference. Not tipped by many to have a great season, the Bears have benefitted from a relatively easy start to the season but they now have a tough run of games against the Colts, Bucs, Rams, Saints and Titans in the space of six weeks which will surely put them to the test.

Would I pick any of the above teams to win the Superbowl?

Absolutely, the Kansas City Chiefs have shortened right up in the betting following their win on the road against the previous Superbowl favourites the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs are now 15/4, with the Ravens drifting to 13/2. The Seahawks at 10/1 would be my pick from the NFC and they may have the best chance of stopping the dominant Chiefs landing back to back Superbowl wins.
