Halfway Point Of Season For Many NFL Teams in Week 8

The National Football League has moved to Week 8. After 8 games is the halfway point, and those teams that have yet to have their bye week in 2017 are reaching the halfway point. The Philadelphia Eagles are the lone team with just a single loss, while the 49ers and Browns have not won a game this season. All three of those teams are in action as Week 8 of the season arrives with the AFC Battle on Thursday Night. Let’s take a look at some of the best NFL Betting Picks for Week 8:

BET ON WEEK 7 AT PADDY POWER

Dolphins and Ravens Battle on Thursday

Kind of an ugly football game as the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens play on Thursday Night. These two teams are struggling to score, which is why the total is listed at 37. Jay Cutler is out for the Miami Dolphins, which means Matt Moore gets the start. Moore was surpassed by Cutler to start the season, but there is a reason why. Look for the Ravens defense to get all over Moore, and win this game. The Baltimore Ravens -3 is the bet to make in this Week 8 affair.

Browns Remain Winless

The Minnesota Vikings are the next opponent for the Cleveland Browns. This game is in London on Sunday morning. Oh – great – the folks of London get a chance to see the worst team in the National Football League. And that they are. Despite all the injuries for Mike Zimmer and his VIkings, they just keep on rolling. This game seems to be no exception to that, as the Vikings blast the Browns in London. Betting Minnesota -9 seems to be the best option in Week 8.

Patriots Stay Red Hot

The New England Patriots get the Los Angeles Chargers. The Patriots are starting to come around, and it seems like they play 16 games a season at home. Los Angeles is playing good football, but now they are going to have to see another level. Look for New England’s defense, the same one that held Matt Ryan scoreless through three quarters to frustrate Phillip Rivers and the Chargers offense. Betting the Patriots -7 is the bet to make in New England.

Saints Run Over The Bears

The New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears are both red hot. In fact, the Saints have won 4 straight games and are on top of the NFC South. The Bears on the other hand have wins over the Steelers, Ravens and Panthers – and are seeking their third straight overall. Chicago is trying to make their way up the NFC North standings. Drew Brees is at home here, and no matter how opportunistic the Bears defense has been, the Saints are going to shred it in half here. New Orleans -9 seems to be a great move to make Sunday.

Jets Upset FalconsNFL Week 2 2017

At this point, we have no idea how good or how bad the Atlanta Falcons are. They certainly have struggled as of late, with three straight losses. Now, the Jets are ready to make it four in a row, as the upstart New York defense keeps Atlanta frustrated. It would be a massive win for the Jets, as it would put them back at .500. Winning half your  games in the AFC gives you a chance at a wildcard. Look for Josh McCown to have a nice game, and the Jets beat the Falcons. Take New York +4 as a great bet for Week 8 of the NFL season.

Seahawks Slow Down Watson

DeShaun Watson has been the talk of the National Football League. The rookie has come in and made offense look easy. There has been much talk about how the Seattle defense is not the same as old. While it may not be the same as old, the Seahawks can still defend, and getting after the quarterback and defending the pass is still something they can do. The Seahawks need a win to keep pace with the idle Rams here. Look for Seattle and the huge crowd to blow out the Texans on Sunday. Bet Seattle -5.

Steelers Win In Detroit

Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions know they have a chance with Aaron Rodgers out of the AFC North. The problem – the Lions just are not good enough in this game. Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense seemingly has things figured out after wins over the Chiefs and the Bengals. Give Le’Veon Bell the football early and give him the football often. If that happens – Pittsburgh does good things. Look for Bell to get the ball a bunch and the Steelers roll by the Detroit Lions.

There is a look at some of the best bets in the National Football League for Week 8. It will be another interesting week, and expect the unexpected. The Cardinals, Packers, Jaguars, Rams, Giants and Titans are on their bye week, so the schedule sees 13 games, with 10 of them during the day on Sunday. Best of luck with all your US sports betting.
